My many talents. . .

K so. . . it's DAY 2!!

Yippee. I'm what you would call a "type A personality." Anal, picky, OCD. . . whatever. Types like me tend to be intense, but what I lack is ORGANIZATION. I am so NOT a multi-tasker. Seriously, there are those who cannot walk and chew gum at the same time, and I can totally identify. Like 2 things, for example, diet and exercise!! As I was training for my 1/2 marathon I noticed that it was entirely too much for me to keep track of both what I was eating, and keep track of my mileage at the same time. And thus, while I was able to keep my mileage at 20+ for the week, I didn't drop a single pound.

So far what I've been able to eat today:
1 bowl instant oatmeal (3pts)
1 Pineapple pleasure Smoothie from Smoothie king (6 pts)

Holiday Hash

Okay. So blogging is not my 1st priority (obviously) and neither is weight loss. :( SO here I go AGAIN with my weight loss blog. How many false starts does it take to get into a pair of skinny jeans? Yeah. . . I'm not great at math, either.

All right, so with the craziness of Thanksgiving (also known as the day before Black Friday) behind us, I have really wanted to jump start a new years resolution. Baby steps. Gonna try and lose 5 lbs. I mean, that's an ok 1st goal, right? To be honest keeping track of eating hasn't been high on my list, but I do have good news, I completed the SNOW CANYON 1/2 marathon 2 weeks ago. My time was 2:36:04 a good time to beat. I really wanted to do a 1/2 marathon the year I was 30, so YAY MEEEEEE!! It's been an amazing journey. . . learned so much about myself. Not least among them, that NOTHING is impossible. Including weight loss. Been there before, I can do it again, & succeed :))

so gonna start by zeroing my sights on 5lbs and gonna attack it like a starving lion on a gazelle. (Mmmm. . .gazelle)

kicking booty

I have been made aware that some people actually READ my blog! Thank you, I feel so loved:)) and also inspired to keep writing about my journey towards weight loss and fitness.

Last week, I weighed in at 174, and was feeling discouraged. but it did steel my resolve to get moving and be the fly girl that is living in this fat suit. So, this week (I weigh in on Tues) I was down to 170lbs. and I must admit I hate that number. . . I was wishing that the scale could have at least given me the 169.9 (I wouldn't have rounded up, I promise!!). Yay, down 4lbs!! And in an effort to beat the daylights out of the 170 number, thus far I have run 9.5 miles! My goal is to make it to 17 by the end of the week. TOTALLY doable.

WHAT I ATE TODAY
vanilla yo-plus yogurt
1 egg
1 kimchee ramen noodle bowl.
and diet coke, of course:))

be sure to comment how awesome I'm looking when u see me next!!! Hahaha, XOXO

steeling my resolve

Ohhhhhhkay.
Weighed in today at WW at a whopping 174.2. So, I gained a pound. SO WHAT? I'm not discouraged. I ran 4 freakin' miles yesterday and pigged out at a family reunion. And today, and into this week, I am bouncing back. My neck is stiff.

Success

So, it's been one week since I've re-started WW. And I've followed the Momentum plan for the most part, moving more and definitely eating less. Aaaaaaannnd, I'm down 3.8lbs from last week! Yay!

173.2lbs

Here's hoping I can kick it into gear and be in the 160's by next week. That is the goal I am focusing on, I'm thinking of putting it as a sign on my fridge.

Beware the Hungry Grouchy Lady.

Ohh, man I am feelin' day #2, and not in a good way. I'm not a "happy" dieter, the adjustment of my body taking in less calories makes me pretty miserable. So, to not take out my frustrations on those around me, I take a LOT of time-outs and try not to think about Doritos. Cool Ranch. . . *ahem*
I have found an awesome resource for those of you who are on WW and are as drive-thru dependent as I am. It's called "Dotti's Weight Loss Zone" and has been SO helpful and my go-to for finding my points on the fly, from pretty much any restaurant you could think of. So Dotti, wherever you are, THANK YOU!!

back in the saddle bag. . .

Okay, here's attempt #2

Today, I went to Weight Watchers, and weighed in at a whopping 177 (DEEEP BREATH). At least it's meeting #1. But the point that I keep telling myself is that I cannot do this alone. Well, I guess technically I could, but truthfully I don't have a lot of motivation or accountability, for that matter. So WW is a great way for me to force myself into it!! And if there's anything worth forcing myself into, being skinny is up there with being kind to children, puppies, the elderly, etc.

So, here goes.

IF YOU BITE IT WRITE IT
1 c fiber one yogurt (peach)
1 lindor white chocolate truffle
1 can 12 oz diet coke
1 jimmy john's Turkey Tom
1 bag chips (jalapeno)

1 smoothie king 20 oz Pineapple Pleasure

Whew, I may feel motivated enough to do some core synergistics workout of p90x!! we'll see, eh?

the 1st week

Thus far, I'm down only 3lbs, I must admit I'm disappointed. I write down everything I eat and ran a total of 10 miles last week along w/following p90x. I guess it's better than gaining? Today is the Core Synergistics workout. Joy

BITE IT WRITE IT
4oz yoplus (110 calories)

1 6in subway chicken salad sub (wheat bread, no cheese)
1 bag baked lays (120 calories)
1 20oz diet coke

day 2, thus far. . .

So last night I did the Core Synergistics workout (waaay too late). So killer, my core is weak and I have to do all the push-up moves girl style. Today, instead of doing Cardio X (I may still do it I'm undecided) I got up early and jogged for 3 miles. Slow and steady may not always win the race, but it still burns calories!

1/4 c spinach

Day 1!! (confessions of a couch potato)

'The journey of 1000 miles begins with one step" ~Confucius

Never have I taken that quote more to heart, than when I exercise! About me, briefly: I am a 30yr old SAHM with 3 kids, and have been married to the love of my life for 8yrs. My absolute favorite things to do? Sit on the couch, eat Doritos. I also have a kindof love/hate relationship with food. . . well maybe that's not quite accurate. I love to cook, or rather create delicious food for my friends and family. Nothing is more satisfying than to put together arbitrary ingredients and in the end have a masterpiece. I love complicated and the simple. As long as I can make food to please, I am a happy lady.

The problem? I also want to be THIN! Svelte. Strong. Smokin' Hot. Unrecognizable as a mom of 3. Envy of the playgroup. Get the picture? I'm also a bit impulsive and impatient, so any workout program that yields quick results is one that I will gravitate toward. . . So I am going to document my progress. Day by day. My weapon of choice? P90X Lean program. This should get really interesting, folks, hold on for the ride of my life.

XOXO, Michelle.

P.S. Today I will be doing the Core Synergistics workout, a combination of Kenpo, Core and some weights. I'll post my stats (height weight BMI all that jazz, just don't ask for my phone #) And a pic for all of you who have had a light lunch. It's about to get a little uglier in here! ;))
